PLEASE READY WALLY'S DESCRIPTION IN FULL PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR HIM: Wally came to us through the OC Shelter Intervention program, when his former owner tried to discard him at the shelter. Wally was in terrible shape and we can only imagine the life of neglect he had lived. Thankfully through networking, Wally was able to go into a foster home with Lovebugs Rescue instead of entering the shelter. Wally is a low key dog who enjoys his daily walks and afternoon naps. Wally does fine with other dogs, but would probably do better in a home all to himself. He is both potty trained and crate trained, and walks well on leash. Wally is an insecure dog and will require an adult only home with less moving parts. Wally enjoys a quiet, consistent environment which will also help him build confidence. Wally tends to resource guard items of importance to him, so he needs a dog savvy owner who can redirect him and set him up for success. Wally has come a long way in his foster home and we can see that he has a lot of love to give. He is currently going through a professional training course with his foster mom and we will expect a new family to continue training with Wally. Lovebugs Rescue will transfer any training hours to his new owner so they can begin the bonding process with him. So in a nutshell we are looking for: ADULT ONLY HOME, NO OTHER PETS, DOG SAVVY OWNER WHO UNDERSTANDS RESOURCE GUARDING AND IS WILLING TO CONTINUE TRAINING.
