Lovebugs Rescue is a foster-based animal rescue located in Southern California. We began our mission in October 2010 and have been going strong ever since!  Our team continues to grow with dedicated volunteers who take their time out of their personal lives to serve our mission.

Lovebugs Rescue is an all-breed, all age dog rescue. Which means, if we have a foster available, we’ll bring them in. We have several fosters that specialize in pregnant dogs, neonates, orphaned puppies and we have other fosters who prefer the senior sweeties and everything in-between. We take in major medical cases from broken bones to internal medicine. We have saved over 3,000 dogs since our inception.

We are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a non-profit organization under 501(C)(3). Our goal is to work with local animal shelters that are overpopulated so we may lessen the number of animals being euthanized unnecessarily. We also work with various independent rescuers and take in owner surrenders.

We believe that spay & neuter is the key to preventing future accidental litters. We have sponsored several spay & neuter clinics both here in California and in Mexico and provided microchips with the procedure. We currently have a spay & neuter voucher program for low-income families, which provides them a more affordable way with our $25 voucher. This also includes a microchip.
