If interested in adopting one of our available pets, you must complete our ADOPTION APPLICATION. Each application will be reviewed and considered. We will keep this page updated with the status of our dogs. A foster home will contact you if they feel there might be a match. Pets are placed in the home deemed most suitable to meet that pets needs. All adoptable animals have been vetted to include spay/neuter, DHP & Rabies vaccine, microchipped, dewormed and flea treatment. Our dogs are in private foster homes throughout and within driving distance to Orange County, CA. Our adoption fees range from $150 – $600. Our pets/adoption fees can also be viewed on:

Meet Ruby, a resilient little soul with a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to quit. Ruby is a 5-year-old, 18 lb Maltese mix who came from an unimaginably neglectful situation. She had been living outside in a filthy crate covered by a tarp, with a severely matted coat. She had such advanced dental disease that her jaw fractured as a result. Despite everything she has endured, Ruby has continued to amaze us every step of the way with her strength, sweetness, and determination.
Ruby has recovered from her dental and her jaw fracture is healed. You can tell how much happier she is as a result! Ruby’s back left leg has a partial amputation, which we don’t know the history of. It doesn’t seem to bother her and she gets around just fine on 3 legs. We are working to get her fitted for a prosthetic that she can wear long term. Ruby was also diagnosed with a heart murmur, but she is on medication for this and hasn’t been symptomatic. This should be monitored with follow up echocardiograms as needed.
Since coming into rescue, she has grown stronger and healthier, blossoming into a happy little companion who is ready to begin her next chapter with a loving family of her own. Ruby is friendly, affectionate, and enjoys the company of other dogs and even cats too. She loves car rides, adventures, and being close to her people. Ruby is also extremely well-mannered in the home and has a calm, gentle presence that makes her such a joy to be around.
After all she’s been through, Ruby deserves a family who will cherish her, spoil her, and show her the love and safety she’s always deserved.

Meet Apollo! Apollo is a 5-year-old, 24 lb Poodle/N.S. Duck Tolling Retriever mix with a gentle heart and a sweet spirit. He sadly lost his home through no fault of his own—after his family went through a divorce, Apollo had nowhere to go. Thankfully, a kind Samaritan stepped in and reached out for help, and now this deserving boy is safe in foster care and enjoying long, peaceful trail walks with his foster mom.
Apollo is a kind, sensitive soul. He can be a bit shy at first, so he’ll thrive with someone who understands slow introductions and gentle handling. Once he feels comfortable, his loving personality really shines. He’s already bonded beautifully with the German Shepherd in his foster home—they have a blast playing together!
This smart boy has already mastered sit, and he also knows lay down and look. Even better, he’s potty trained. Apollo loves car rides, exploring new places, and being part of the adventure. He even does the Toller scream when he gets excited! Apollo has been fully vetted, including a recent dental, and is healthy and ready for his next chapter. Due to his prey drive with small critters, Apollo will do best in a home without cats.

Athena came to the rescue when her family realized they weren’t quite ready for the commitment of a puppy. Their loss is someone else’s lucky day, because this girl is truly a gem. She absolutely loves being held and is happiest snuggled right next to her person soaking up affection.
She’s being raised in one of our amazing foster homes where she’s learning all the good puppy basics and getting lots of love and socialization. Athena is expected to mature in the medium-sized range when full grown, making her the perfect size for both adventures and couch cuddles.

This sweet girl is shy, gentle, and a bit timid at first, but with patience and kindness she begins to show her loving nature. Lily will thrive with someone who understands that the best relationships take a little time and is willing to let her warm up at her own pace.
She is fully potty trained and finds comfort in her crate, which serves as her safe space both overnight and during the day. Lily walks beautifully on leash and enjoys getting out for strolls without pulling.
While Lily could do well with another dog her size or smaller to help build her confidence, she also seems perfectly content doing her own thing. She currently follows her foster sibling around but isn’t overly interested in playing and tends to keep to herself. Because of this, she may also do wonderfully as a solo dog in a home where someone is around more often than not.
Lily would do best in a calm household, ideally with older children if any. She prefers dogs her own size or smaller and isn’t a fan of bigger dogs, though she remains polite and non-reactive. She does well at the dog park but it’s not really her favorite place.
She may not love car rides, but she definitely loves the destination! Lily is a perfect companion for relaxed outings and does great at breweries and dog-friendly patios where she can quietly enjoy the day by your side.

This little powerhouse made his grand entrance via C-section and has been stealing hearts ever since! Born to a beautiful French Bulldog mama, Sherman is a solo pup soaking up all the love and attention.
At just 6 weeks old, he’s already tipping the scales at a whopping 8 lbs — built like a tiny bulldozer with the sweetest squishy body. He looks just like his mama, and he inherited her stunning blue eyes. His unique merle coloring is absolutely show-stopping — a perfect patchwork of smoky grays and inky spots that makes him one of a kind.
Sherman may be young, but he’s mighty — and we can already tell this “Tank” is going to grow into one unforgettable little guy. He’s pretty chill on the home front with little spurts of zoomies and play bows. Sherman loves other dogs and another pooch to pal around would be a plus for him, but isn’t required.
His DNA says 100% French Bulldog, however we think his dad is a black Pittie mix, which would explain his bigger size. We expect Sherman to be large breed range when full grown 60 lbs plus. He has a full tail and floppy ears.

Meadow is a total fetch enthusiast and absolutely lights up when it’s time to play. She pounces on her toys with adorable enthusiasm and will happily entertain you with her playful antics. After she’s burned off some energy, she’s all about the cuddles — belly rubs, tail wags, and gentle kisses are her specialty.
She’s food motivated and a smart little gal who already knows “sit,” has great recall, and responds to her name. Meadow is cat friendly and enjoys other dogs, especially playful, confident pups who can help show her the ropes. While another dog in the home would be a wonderful bonus, it’s not a requirement.
Meadow does have a bit of a barky streak and is still building confidence, particularly on walks and in new environments outside the home. With patience, positive reinforcement, and continued exposure, she’ll continue to blossom. She’s higher energy and would thrive with an active adopter who enjoys engaging playtime and helping a young pup grow into her best self.

Pebbles arrived at the shelter as a stray, but you would never guess it by her loving nature. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and very dog-oriented. June is the strongest of her litter and the only one with adorable perked-up ears that make her stand out from the crowd. She’s a confident, happy pup who absolutely adores her sisters and plays beautifully with them.

PENDING ADOPTION: Onyx is a beautiful 3-year-old, 11-lb black and white Chihuahua with a soft medium-length coat and an even softer heart. This sweet girl has been an incredible mama to her five puppies after being heartbreakingly discarded with them in a sealed bag in an alley. Thanks to a good samaritan who heard the puppies crying, Onyx and her babies were saved—and now it’s Onyx’s turn to find the loving home she deserves.
Onyx is fully potty trained, knows her basic commands, and truly shines when it comes to cuddling. She’s a total snuggle bug who adores soft flannel sheets and fluffy blankets and will happily curl up beside you once she feels safe. She does have a bit of a diva side (as any proper Chihuahua should!), which just adds to her charm.
She does best in a quieter home with less coming and going, as she prefers a slower pace and benefits from a gentle warm-up with new people. Onyx loves other dogs and enjoys their companionship, though she may appreciate slow, thoughtful introductions as she settles in.
Onyx would thrive with a patient, loving adopter who understands her need for security and calm—and who is ready to spoil her with cozy blankets and lots of affection. After everything she’s been through, this devoted mama is ready to be someone’s cherished companion.

Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan stepped in just in time, and the little family was quickly scooped up to safety and welcomed into the Lovebugs Rescue family.
Coral, Zek, Jet, and Wulf are named after gemstones—fitting for these little treasures who have already shown incredible resilience. The pups appear to be Chihuahua mixes with soft, fluffy coats and are growing stronger and cuter by the day.
They will be available for pre-adoption on February 12, 2026, with take-home scheduled two weeks later once they reach 8 weeks of age. These little Lovebugs are sure to make wonderful companions and are ready to shine in homes of their own.
